Interzum Panel Presents Award to Häfele Worktop Connector. New lightweight brochure.

(26/04/2007) The new Maxifix 35 HC honeycomb worktop connector from Häfele was presented with the “High Product Quality” award at the fourth Interzum Awards. “This award in a respected competition re-emphasizes the pioneering role that Häfele has played in the field of lightweight connector technology”, remarks managing director Sibylle Thierer.

Häfele’s product range contains a full range of hardware for constructing lightweight furniture, which has been summarised in a new brochure. “Furniture – Light as a feather, fittings systems for furniture construction using lightweight panels” is being published in time for Interzum in Cologne and will be available on the Häfele exhibition stand. The 24 pages of this brochure document the entire range of fittings that are used for lightweight construction. In the brochure Häfele shows honeycomb panel connectors for constructing high-strength, load-bearing structures in combination with innovative lightweight materials, which will be available for delivery from Interzum onwards. However, thanks to the Variant special screw a large number of existing fittings such as hinges, runners, rail end supports etc. can now be used in lightweight furniture construction, even with thin top layers The brochure contains text and pictures describing the characteristics, design, use and processing of lightweight panels and provides quick overview of Häfele’s hardware portfolio in the form of a table. This provides an instant view of the possible uses of fittings for honeycomb panels with and without frame and with different top layers. The brochure is also accompanied by a special catalogue for practitioners as a working basis for the ordered products.

Easy to fit: Maxifix 35 HC
The Maxifix 35 HC worktop connector, which has been presented with an award in Cologne, is suitable for making frameless connections at both sides of the front cut edges, such as the ones that occur with a mitred 135° corner connection and a 90° corner connection with a frame at one side.
It is based on the well known Maxifix 35 worktop connector and is appreciated for its ease of handling and integrated height adjusting facility. The Häfele honeycomb worktop connector is available for panel thicknesses of 50 and 60 mm.
